Horseback
What better way to see the beauty of the Big Horn Mountains than on the back of a gentle well trained trail horse. The terrain ranges from trails maintained by the Forest Service to wide open meadows blooming with a multitude of wild flowers. Rides can be a short as a hour tour around one of the nearby lakes or an all day ride into the Cloud Peak Wilderness. We organize rides daily for groups as well as individuals.
Our horses are kept at the stables next to our lodge. Horses are matched to the riders based upon riding experience and personality. Yes, horses have personalities. We encourage riders to pack a camera to capture the beautiful scenery and wildlife that are abundant in the Big Horn Mountains. Riding training is available for those novice horsemen. However, after a few hours on our gentle horses you will be ready to venture with us on one of our daily scenic rides.
Options are available for those who want to bring your own horses.
